Refrain:  The shepherds awakened and looked to the sky,
                On Christmas morn;
                The angels were singing a hymn filled with joy:
                "Christ is Born!"

Verse  1:  The shepherds were tending their flocks in the field,
                 When God's Holy Angel appeared to them;
                 A glorious light shone all around,
                 On Christmas morn.

Verse 2:   The shepherds were frightened,
                 When they first saw the Angel;
                 "Fear not", said the Heavenly Host,
                 "On this morn!"

Verse 3:    "Tonight in a stable in Bethlehem,
                  a baby was born to save the world;
                  Give praise to our Father, God, and King,
                  Christ is Born!"

Verse 4:    The heavens then opened, 
                  Revealing a choir of angels;
                  Singing "Hallelujah! 
                  Christ is Born!"

Verse 5:    The shepherds then shared these tidings of joy,
                  A gift we remember on this day;
                  When God gave his Son to all Mankind,
                  On Christmas morn!

Christ Is Born!

Born in Minnesota, raised in Minnesota and Colorado, and educated in Virginia, Dan Vick is a physician by profession for whom music is a serious avocation.  Dan studied piano, percussion, and voice in his formative years and music theory and composition in college.  He has performed in community orchestras, symphonic bands, and choruses and with church choirs in various parts of the country.  Dan has focused more effort in recent years on composing music.
