Drag & Drop, these are Nicola Romeo and Pablito:

Nicola Romeo:
The Italian Nicola Romeo was born 13.06.1979 in Hanau. When he was a boy it was certain that he had the music flowing through his veins. In 1997 he discovered his love and passion: electronic beats. He was inspired by Clubs like Omen, the Box and the Dorian. His sound reaches from Deep House to rhythmic Tech House. His first experience as a DJ took place in the Frankfurt club scene, the MTW and even Monza. Soon he had gigs abroad as well. He performed in Austria, Turkey, Italy and the Netherlands. In 2003, fuessewackeln.de was born. It’s an event series which is very successful in the Main Kinzig area. Today, Nicola is a constant part of the electronic scene in Frankfurt. Since October 2012 he also manages the even series “We are together”, taking place at Dora Brilliant in Frankfurt. But that’s still not everything. Apart from his first release at Get Physical’s “kindisch label” he will also be representing Dj Mags’ Promo-Compilation.

Pablito:
Pablito was born on 3 July, 1988 in southern Italy. In his early ages, he already discovered his passion for music. When he was eleven years old, he was given a Synthesizer. This instrument changed his whole view of music. He began to dig in a new world, the electronic music. He loves to play, hear and work with it. It developed an impressive musical career which results with a 39. Rank in the top 100 Beatport Minimal Charts in August 2011 with a EP of the well known “no-Logik records” label. This EP was released by Deniele Petronelli. His new piece “What the Phunk” was released by DJ Pablito and “no-Logik x-mas 2011” in December 2011. This happened with the support of some very popular international DJs, like Koen Groeneveld, VAN DER Zvan Addy, Daniele Petronelli, Alex Young, Laidback Luke, BINGO PLAYERS, Emrah Celik, Louie CUT, Angy Kore, Mario Miranda, Mark Ramsey, Andrés Gil , MIN & MAL, Natalino Nunes and many more. Along 2012 Pablito performed in popular clubs like the Cocoon, Tanzhaus West, the Papierfabrik, ss radio London and some festivals in turkey. He continues his journey with modesty while hoping to reach the olymp of DJs some day…

Bio

DRAG & DROP come on as a dynamic dj and producer duo from Frankfurt. 2012 was the year the two guys established their label Konzept Musique and decided to share their musical visions under yet another synonym. Whereas both come from different musical schools it was the mixture and inspiration in the other that spurred them to their new electronic project.
They blend all sorts of house and techhouse sounds, fx and grooves even adding some dubstep textures. Lately they found that they fall not only for strong grooves but also for recognizable breakdowns, wobbly interludes and dramatic synths, all ending up in inventive and playful tracks, some of which u might call "Techstep", according to DRAG & DROP themselves.

Whether experimenting or delivering functional, dirty grooves, DRAG & DROP are all for the floor, hence their tracks got reviewed in DJ MAG. They both played clubs from frankfurt to Berlin and Italy. Cocoon Club has been under their control as much as the trippy friendly crowd at Berlin’s infamous Kater Holzig, where everybody’s darling Sascha Braemer roadtested the DRAG & DROP tunes after signing them onto his whatiplay imprint. Their podcast for his label made them meet over 20.000 new fans that now like the principle in DRAG & DROP: tracks that move you! 

Lately they moved some tracks themselves, onto renowned labels such as Draft Recordings or the mighty Monique Musique (including an Arado remix), all tracks following up the path of their successful „Pongo“ tune for whatiplay. In September 2014 they logically contributed to their 2nd anniversary compilation with Konzept Musique. 

Right now their studio is on fire, so be surpised what these guys drag & drop next on your floor!

Die Sendung im Dezember fand zwischen den Jahren statt. Mit den Gästen von Drag & Drop hatten wir uns nachträglich sogar einen Weihnachstwunsch erfüllt. Denn das sympatische Produzenten und DJ-Duo haben einen sehr coolen Sound am Start, den es "live in the mix" zu hören gab.

Neben der Musik erwartete Euch auch diesmal zwischendurch die gewohnte Mischung aus Szenetalk und Dummgebabbel. Weil Papa Johann krank wat übernahm sein Part diesmal Steve Simon. Gemeinsam mit Grille gab es dann einen kleinen Jahresrückblick auf Ereignisse in der lokalen Szene.
