Created, during the later period of the winter solstice (Dec 28-24) This track is for the travelers  weaving thru time learning through experiences, facing the good and the bad, seeking the destination of truth. Recording via 4 track tape, using synths and drum machine and nature samples  The art  statue sits by the synths watching as i too,  travel.  Enjoy as i did in making.

Travellers

Inspiration of this track.  Sometimes conflicting  thoughts in the mind of which direction you should turn when making important decision can be exhausting.  Sometimes you get it right sometimes you get wrong. When things are not quite right (and sometimes it takes time )  you question yourself and those thoughts enter the mind and during that state it can effect your  ability to confidently make new choices. Such things happen to us all. 

 I made a track whilst these thoughts buzzed in my head about a situation that happened a few days earlier  but i made  a conscious effort to move forward rather then procrastinate. 

When making the track I had the help of Msafiri Zawose, a very talented singer /musician who is based in Tanzania I had previously worked  and sent me many vocals  and i  knew his style would work wonders on my new projects. Msafiri  is a Gogo (African  string instrument)  musician and his name is associated with the traditional Gogo style music. (Please do check him out.)  In this particular track i use he incredible vocals to give a lift to the pounding hypnotic beat.



To take this subject matter further didn't want to make a video during the recording process of this particular music but i did and i may not ever do it again but the main thing is i chose to do so and and i will benefit  from the experience whether good or bad and then you move on.

SHEA PI - FT MSAFIRI ZAWOSE

Inspiration to this hand made music,  Recording  Demo on 4 track tape after experiencing a situation where i ran for a bus carrying very heavy goods. Feeling very exhausted  i caught the bus and in my rush to find my bus fare i pulled out  a large bag of coins which i accidentally spilled all over  the bus floor. The bus which was quite packed  looked on in silence as i began to pick up the  many coins spread over the floor whilst still having to put my shopping to the side.. What made it worse was the bus driver waited for me to pick up the coins before  he could drive off whilst the bus passages waited and looked on. Then all of a sudden a young girl came out from her seat (about 14) and came over and began to help. I sad to her 'Thank you' she replied 'Your Welcome'  I didn't want to keep the bus waiting so i gave up trying to find and pick up every single coin and thanked the girl again whilst i  headed for my seat.  The bus driver closed the doors and began on the journey. But the young girl had over ideas, she persistent to look for every coin that i had dropped whilst the bus was moving, and once she was satisfied she had found very coin (took another 5 minutes) she came over with the biggest smile and handed me the rest of the coins. I smiled back and thanked her once more.  I  don't know her name and never saw her again but i appreciated her action. This sort of thing makes me want to help others too, no matter how small these things really do matter.  So i made this simple track  with nothing but good warm energy with the memory of that time and i salute all those wonderful strangers that come in and out of peoples lives who are simply there to lend a helping hand... and they do it with a smile.
