Premiere: Amonita - Rainbow [All Day I Dream]

A mix of underground house and trance from early free party days on Shoreham Beach in Brighton with the Energized Crew. Tracks from Fluke, Eat Static, Zoom Records, Skin Up, Hard Hands, Leftfield, Marine Boy, Jack Pot, etc.

With the warmer weather making a welcome return, i am indeed extending a warm welcome myself to Tumbian as the duo come back to the label.

Hyperbolic is a dreamy, breezy progressive breaks number with catchy hooks and driving b-lines. This will sound at home pumped across a sunny field just as it will beating through headphones curled up cosy on the sofa. There's also a retro, almost nostalgic feel to proceedings, which harks back to shades of Orbital and other UK festival favourites.

On the flip side, I bring a more meaty, acid fuelled flex to proceedings. Incorporating many of the original drum and arppegiator samples while adding my own syncopated basslines and evolving vocal leads while keeping a similar pace. I really enjoyed producing this remix, it was wicked, so i hope you can enjoy it too.

This mix was originally put together for a set I played at my very own sister's wedding. It was intended to be as uplifting as possible, but also providing a different kind of energy that can only come from the style of house catered for by the likes of labels like All Day I Dream, and Anjunadeep. I like to imagine sometimes where the music will travel to. Who it will be given to or shared with. Whether it will be played at an after party in London or listened to on a set of headphones while watching the sun rise from behind a mountain in Tibet. I wonder which tracks you'll fall in love with instantly and which will grow on you as time passes. 

I know this is a really long mix and the journey into it and out the other side takes some commitment but, on the plus side, it saves you having to look for anything else to play for ages and ages.

 I hope you love the tracks as much as I do and thanks for listening.
