When my beloved grandfather passed away, this song came to me one night, quite different in style from my other songs. It was basically conceived in that single night, and I left it that way without polishing it much.

Inspired by a, well, inspirational "YouTube-guru", fuelled by great empathy for the same, who managed to turn anxiety and generally "bad stuff" into music.
I've wanted to try to compose something more dreamy and ambient than my usual melodic doodlings. Reminded of the mantra "rather than good" (meaning it is - more often than you think - better to create something imperfect than not creating something perfect) I managed to actually get something finished for the first time in practically forever.
The working title for the song was "Cameron said".

Awakening (Cameron said)

When a friend of mine - a friend with an exceptionally warm and large heart - was hit by one hard rock after the other from Cosmos, in a seemingly never ending stream of outright _shit_ (pardon the french), I felt the urge to turn my mix of sympathy and helpless, slightly raged, frustration into something positive.
That evening this "short story" tune was concieved. For Pete's sake.
