The love of the truth

These Nine Great Men

1.	The book of Genesis revealed to us,

Biographies of nine great men who are in the line of life;

As landmarks of the human race, they represent us all,

We see God’s plan and how man fell, but with promise of God’s salvation.

God worked Himself into each and every one of them

For the accomplishment of His eternal economy;

That He may build Himself into man for His expression,

He can do the same for you; when you give yourself to Him,

2.	With Adam we can see God’s heart’s desire
Before the tree of life God placed him that he may take Him in as life.
Alas, man took the wrong tree, became the landmark of the fall,
Therefore in God’s eternal plan, He then included the need for redemption.

3. Hence Abel took the way his parents taught,
To offer up sacrifices with the shedding of the blood;
It is the way of God’s redemption that would satisfy God’s heart, 
An overcoming martyr who lived out the divine revelation 

4.	Like Enosh as a frail and mortal man
The vanity of human life, when through God’s light we realize,
No longer trusting in ourselves and in His sweet, dear name we call,
“Oh Lord Jesus, You’re so rich! You are our strength and our salvation! ”

5. “And Enoch walked with God and He was not…”  (Gen.5:24)
He walked by faith and not by sight, ‘til in God’s presence taken up;
When we take God as our center, as everything, our all,
In the divine life we mature we then escape death ready to be raptured.

6. Noah also walked with God but went further,
For he had fellowship with God as well as calling on His name;
When God needed to build the ark, He has then found a co-worker,
God has a way to turn the age when we give Him our cooperation.

7. God’s calling can be seen with Abraham,
With Isaac we enjoy the blessings of our own inheritance;
With Jacob, chosen and selected yet transformation must be done
So that like Joseph we might reign with the riches of life for God’s kingdom.

1. What motivates a prodigal to turn
Back to his senses and would repent
And how could  a loving Father even ran
Just to receive His returning son? 
No condemnation in His heart,
Oh what a forgiving and loving Father God we have;
What love He’s given to us!

Nothing but love that is real and pure,
That comes from God’s heart, divine, eternal
Will never fall away and will last through,
Forever and ever will be true.

2. Who can forgive the gross sins she has done
That must be stoned to death by everyone?
And who could receive such ones without decry,
Who is without sin and qualified?
He could condemn yet He would not,
Oh what a forgiving and loving Savior that we have,
Who was condemned for us!

3. What has driven Him to leave His throne on high
Just to bring salvation to Zaccheus house?
How could He draw the tax collectors nigh,
As a holy, righteous God of glory bound?
But as Physician, sinner’s Friend;
Oh what compassion to the lost sinners He came to seek!
He’s always seeking to save!

4. Who could restore (a) backsliding one like him?
Once was known as leader and was promising.
Who could still trust a broken covenant?
When repeated failure in your memory count,
No condemnation in His heart
His mercy and grace always giving us the second chance;
To have a brand new start.

1. Wonderful  is He, Jesus my Savior in His humanity,

 He chose a life of a carpenter,

 Being friends with the nail in His youth,

3. Hung on the cross as fruit of the tree of life,
That once a cursed tree
Borne our sicknesses, carried our sorrows
According to prophecy (Isa.53:4)
Though ‘twas the same tree our fathers rejected
The Tree of Life today.
Oh, choose life and live forever,
Have a relationship with the Lord;
Caring nor for religion,  man’s thought;
But with the Christ, the Living Word!
 
 







4. Wooden cross by itself cannot save You
But He who died for you;
Who shed His blood, died and resurrected
According to prophecy (1Pet.1:20, Rev.3:18)
He, as the Triune God has passed through the processes
To impart life into men.
He, as the last Adam who became
Life-giving Spirit, God-dispensing
When you believe and call on His name;
God in Christ’s Spirit will come in.
 
5. We thank You, Lord for being our Savior,
In our humanity,
You came as the Lamb, to cherish and nourish us
According to Your mercy.
We are so open to You we believe in You
Come in and make home in our hearts.
We chose to love You and live for You
To have sweet relationship with You Lord,
To be filled with Your Spirit and words
As god-men shining in the world.
