Distant pads bring a cosmic feel and intimate spoken words make the whole thing feel personal yet unsettling as rubbery drums roll on below. Nothing pairs pulsating acid daubs with vocals drenched in reverb as slick drums drive things along. It’s a masterfully sparse yet engaging track that will cast its spell on all who hear it. Lastly, Motion is another absorbing track with deep drums and meandering pads sucking you into a cavernous sound world where alien motifs and acid gurgles work your mind as much as your feet.”

Parisian imprint Taapion Records, co-founded by Shlømo, AWB and PVNV, launches into 2019 with a collection of ravey heaters from Brussels based artist Hadone via his ‘Defining Persuasion’ EP, which features the gritty, melodic and high-energy techno anthem 'How To Fake Success'.

Following releases on Code Is Law, Grounded, Ravage and more, Hadone is building up momentum with his diverse approach to dancefloor-focused cuts. "Number 13 is at the center of many superstitions, some consider it to bring bad luck. We at Rave Or Die believe instead that number 13 always delivers happiness, success and even ecstasy to the mass. In particular when it gathers altogether two heavyweights from the Dance music culture on the label’s thirteen release. On A side we find Self Refelktion Boss Stranger in an acidic distorted exercise, injecting on “Motief” the perfect balance between pounding techno beats a la 90's Axis release and Woody McBride 303 loops and a little " je ne sais quoi " to make you jump on the Dancefloor. On the flipside, ROD mastermind fates the heavy artillery with “Shut Up And Dance”, a nod to the now defunct and eponymous mythic Rave London label. Distorted yet irresistible electro techno tones characterize this pure Ravey anthem calibered for spacious warehouse with a generous sound system.
Raw techno tracks all the way from two masters of the genre!"

this is the first version i did of my track 'One Day', originally intended as an anthem-ish album tune for an album that did not come together eventually. later on i did a complete new version that was released on REFLEKT010. this breakbeat / rave version was made around 2015.

On The World of Monnom Black II, new artists including VTSS, DIMI (AnD), Vladimir Dubyshkin, Hadone, Fractions, LDS, Aahan and Buried Secrets all throw down tracks which fuse tight machine rhythms with intricate detail. There's also a return for many established label favourites such as UVB, Dax J, Zanias and Thomas P. Heckmann as Knarz.

To round out the compilation there’s a re-release of the timeless 1998 cut, “Devious Methods,” from legendary artist Hive, and Tellurian’s hardcore classic, “Big Bad City,” gets a new mix from Dax J.
 
This release further confirms Monnom Black’s reputation for representing raw analogue music and cements the label’s place as the home of some of the roughest and classiest contemporary sounds in techno.
