Knights of Armageddon
black horses in the night
blood red flags and banners
making such a fearful sight
under hooves and shadows
that mix the earth with blood
fearful sad pretenders
lost beneath the flood

we all live in the darkness
that fell so long ago
it came beneath awareness
an arrow in it’s bow
one that has a lantern
lights the narrow path
in single file we follow
escape the awful wrath

not of the world we live in
we travel in disguise 
misguided by our bodies a
and led to our demise
beside the great defender
that came in life gone by
you stand among the sightless
not caring if they die

we justify our actions
our words cut like a knife
clouds of dust and thunder rumble
come and smother life
clamor up the tower
to light an evil flame
knowing in that hour
he’s the one that writes Your name

endless indecision
