Colombian duo TacoMan & Raized link up on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax for ‘90s MTV’ with a three-track EP of trippy house this April. 

Title track ‘90’s MTV’ brings speaker-rattling kicks and toms alongside frenzied vocals and whirring FX for an upfront start to the EP, followed by ‘R2Dminor’ which sees a set of sizzling percussion over a hypnotic bassline and flickering synthesis. 

Rounding off the release is ‘Paradigm’, which sees the duo reach for delayed vocal chops and raw, visceral drum patterns across a blown-out low end set for sound system mayhem. 

Previously collaborating on Hector Couto’s Roush Label in 2019, ‘90’s MTV’ sees the two Medellin based producers teaming up again for a fiercely entertaining EP of club-ready house music on Jamie Jones’ party-starting Hottrax imprint.

Manchester’s System2 joins Hottrax with a bouncy house cut including a remix from Repopulate Mars artist Ben Sterling entitled ‘Coffee Daddy’.

No stranger to the global house scene, over the last five years System2’s discography includes appearances on Roush, Oblack, and ORIGINS. Joining Jamie Jones’ Hottrax, ‘Coffee Daddy’ extenuates System2’s ear for tightknit, bubbly house music, following artists like Waze & Odyssey, Joseph Edmund and Yulia Niko. Joining him on remix duties is Ben Sterling - a hotly tipped British artist who continually garners support from Patrick Topping, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed.

‘Coffee Daddy’ gets things started with silky kicks drums layered with groove infused 808 congas, infectious vocals and synth bass growls before Sterling’s remix delivers effervescent percussion fused with a deep, undulating bassline and eccentric, choppy voice samples.

'Jason Burns yet again states his claim as one of the most talented producers in the game with a gorgeous, breaks-laden EP complete with remix from Mad Villains. 

As a veteran DJ and producer with releases on Toolroom, Nervous Records, Anabatic, Symbols, Love&Other, and RAM Recordings, Jason Burns has a reputation for defying genre conventions. Drawing from a wide array of influences including disco, classic house, garage, R&B, soul, pop, and acid house, he has moulded a unique sound that doesn't fit neatly into any box.

Following his Once Again EP on SOUP NYC earlier this year, Jason returns to the groundbreaking label with The Power EP, a melodic, breaks-laden two-tracker accompanied by a huge remix from fellow SOUP affiliate Mad Villains. 

The Power is a gorgeous electronic cut, with soothing keys and floating melodies juxtaposed with hard-hitting rave-inspired drums and chopped vocals which build to a wonderfully restrained crescendo: pure sunset vibes through and through. The Dark, although slightly darker in tone follows a similarly broken rhythmic structure, with a sinewy acid line dominating proceedings in its latter stages. 

On the remix, Mad Villains delivers a jackin 4/4 interpretation of The Power, with a bubbling bassline and skittering hats taking things home, completing a superb package from one of the most underrated producers in the game.'

The next release on Libero comes by way of DJ Entwan and Alberto Cristian. The collaborative '7am' EP features two original tracks, along with remixes from Enrico Bellan and Dan Barrientos.

The title track opens up the release with a simple yet potent groove. Featuring a generous amount of Libero characteristics, '7am' is an enjoyable terrace track with subtle hints of flair and captivating energy - broken up by creative bridges, adding atmosphere and perpetual flow.

Enrico Bellan follows on with a remix of '7am' that takes things a touch deeper. Darker, late-night tones and extra vocal layers accompany a stripped-back approach to the original track. An eerie adaptation with substantial amounts of groove and class.

'Shake' sports another rolling bassline with strong percussive factors and punchy drums laid over the top. A solid combination of rhythm, melody and vocal presence, bundled up to create a movement-inspiring end product that demonstrates the duo's Libero Sound.

Dan Barrientos rounds up the release with his remix of the b-side. A more uptempo approach to the original masterfully blended with many of the initial traits of its predecessor. A big-room adaptation, bursting at the seams with peak-time energy and Dan's trademark percussive flair.
