Bryna Fjässa & the Spånken Group is a fictional band based on the Spånken Chronicle, a not yet published story about a number of people who meet at Stockholm University in 1987 and continue to socialize. Among other things, they form the band BFSG.

Bryna Fiessa has a fixed idea that cats are more loyal than dogs. Gunilla and Bryna had a cat named Felix, who sadly passed away in 2024, who partially lived up to this even though Gunilla usually claimed he was just like any other cat when Bryna wasn't present. Among Felix's peculiarities was that he used to wake them up when it was time to get up, he never missed an episode of MASH which he watched together with Gunilla (according to Bryna, they both used to purr when Alda was on screen), he liked to have breakfast together with them, and he enjoyed being present when BFSG practiced in Gunilla and Bryna's basement, where he would fall asleep immediately. Agda, the guitarist, was always convinced that it was because Felix preferred hard rock over the jazz that Bryna is so fond of.
But most of all, Felix was a cat who spread joy and calm in Spånken.
