He studied Music for Cinema and Audiovisual Media in Madrid, Spain, and the Degree in Music and Composition in Monterrey, Mexico. Currently he performs as a singer and guitarist at the band The Lics. which was formed in 2018.

 

Among his teachers are Jorge Magaz, Dr. Ricardo Martínez, Dr. Phillip Grange, Dr. Roberto Morales, Dr. Emil Awad, Sebastian Mariné, M. Miguel Blanco, Miguel Ángel López, and Miguel Ruiz de Elvira. As a composer he has more than 20 pieces performed, 2 of them have been part of 2 International Festivals of Composition UANL.

 

 

Learned to play classical and electric guitar from the age of 12 and throughout his superior composition career, he learned to play various instruments such as Piano, Cello, Saxophone, Drums, Marimba,  Theremin, Moog Old School Synthesizers, and Voyager.

 

Other courses include Singing, Orchestra Direction, Choral Direction and Compositional Programming Techniques (SuperCollider).

 

Among his interdisciplinary participations are CHROMOS (Contemporary Dance) of the Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, as well as "Time and Life" (Performing Arts), a piece performed for the University TAI in Madrid Spain.

 

He participated in Handel's "The Messiah" oratories, as Tenor Soloist and "Christ on the Mount of Olives" by L. V. Beethoven as leader of the choral section of tenors, whose works were performed for the Mexican Oratory Association A.C.

 

Julián is the Current chief of operations a logistics of The Arts Theatre of CONARTE . From 2011 to 2018 he worked as a teacher at the Faculty of Music of the UANL in the Elementary area and in January 2013 created MuziAk, an Institution for the Arts focused on the teaching and dissemination of different disciplines including Music and Dance Where he currently serves as Director and Professor of Music. In 2016 he collaborated with the National Council for the Arts of Nuevo León (CONARTE).

 

He imparted a course of musical composition for audiovisual media in the Adolfo Prieto School belonging to the Cultural Activities of that institution. In this same year, he became a founding member of "FUGITE " a collective of artists focused mainly on the diffusion of multidisciplinary arts.
