Making his debut on Drumcode in 2017 with his track ‘Fake’ featured on the A-Sides Vol 6 compilation, one of Brazil’s much loved exports Wehbba brings us his first full EP this February with ‘Eclipse’.

A no nonsense 4 track offering, and all thoroughly road tested by Adam, they have gained much support from longtime Drumcode fans. Eclipse, delivers a low end rumble along with a modulating synth line. Reigning high throughout the track, is the undeniably catchy and unique synth. Leaving this track one to be recognised on dancefloors all over the world.

‘Protocol’ doesn't turn down the pace, straight into a chugging hypnotic drive, this track leaks with attitude, along it’s eerie undertones.

Probably the most acid influenced track of the EP, ‘Glasswerk’ has a futuristic modular synth riff which thunders along a hypnotic bass line which flows nicely into ‘Framework’ to close out the EP. Its punchy and powerful kick sits alongside the cleverly crafted synth pattern, taking this track into a dark zone with a groovy element still resonant.

Release Info: 
After touring the globe with a three-piece band, Desert Sound Colony, the alias of Liam Wachs, has made a welcome return to his dancefloor roots. His forthcoming EP Tethered is set for release on Edu Imbernon’s Fayer with remixes from acclaimed producers H.O.S.H, The Drifter and Denis Horvat.

The vocals of title track Tethered reach out to you like a tribal calling, whilst guitar strings lead into a hypnotic trance that is interspersed with cosmic sounds and clashing cymbals. Wachs describes it as “most appropriate for an after hours session or a sunrise at a festival.” Whereas Sunrise of My Mind is deep and bassy with a broken beat that yearns to be heard on a huge soundsystem. “Somewhere between the dub and breakbeat sounds of Leeds circa 2009 and the weirder side of bands today” he explains.

The second track receives two reworks. The first from Dynamic favourite H.O.S.H is layered to the brim, sending the tune to another dimension. Denmark’s Denis Horvat who has released on labels like Afterlife and Innervisions delivers a darker, more techno leaning version. Maeve label boss The Drifter reworks Tethered by slowing the beat down a notch but still retaining plenty of groove to satisfy any dancefloor.

An artist with many talents, Desert Sound Colony has released on admired labels like Scissor & Thread and Me Me Me. Recently he has graced the stages of many respected festivals alongside names such as Ewan Pearson, Kenny Larkin, Hunee and Craig Richards.

Alive was starting as a dj in the end of 90’s. As a dj he played at clubs, party's and festivals like WMC, Sonar, Katerblau, Tresor, Egg Club and he shared the Dj booths with acts like Jamie Jones, Tale Of Us, Dixon, Recondite, Matador, Ame and many more.
Meanwhile he settled up my his own brand called StayFly in 2008. Through this label and events he brought some of the biggest names to Budapest as a promoter.

The next step was setting up his Alive project as a producer which he started in 2015. Now we present you here his debut.
The EP comes with great remixes from Teenage Mutants and Peter Makto & Gregory S.
