The Beginning of Discovery

This is a work in progress track. Since I'm just learning the whole electronic music thing, every track involves some production or composition goals. For this track my goals were:

1) Come up with a catchy chord progression to center the song around
2) Provide enough variation around the main theme to keep the listener interested
3) Work on a cleaner mix. Avoid my typical muddy mess in the lower mids.

With You

I was cruising the internet this morning looking for some new sounds to try out in FL Studio and I found this great electric piano sound. Next thing you know, I've got some sort of 80's ballad written. I've used this opportunity to practice recording/producing guitar in FL studio as well. I'm not too happy with some of the piano parts and this could use a real 80's solo in it so let's consider this a demo for now.

Violet Sunrise

This is my first attempt at a synthwave track. Most of my time was spent on sound design since this was my first time really diving into subtractive synthesis. This genre relies on using authentic sounding synths (which can be a challenge when you're using digital plugins).

Goals :
Use subtractive synthesis to create new sounds (including a T H I C C lead)
Incorporate some genre staples like automated low pass filters, arps, and metallic pad sounds
Try my best to avoid a muddy mix
