House music has no excuse for being a boys’ club. Joan Pronk (25) is determined to let herself be heard on the big stage. 

As a youngster she started out playing piano. Growing up in Amsterdam made her more and more interested in the electronic music genre. At some point it all becomes clear to Joan. Making it as a DJ is gonna be her one true pursuit. After countless hours of practice, she steps forward and starts performing. Growing every gigs the takes. Being her own biggest criticaster. 

Before the pandemic she really starts making name in Amsterdam, playing icon venues as the Chicago Social Club. After her partaking in the reality show Love Island, the spotlight is now on her. Her drive to be successful in the music industry is therefor stronger than ever before.

Jessica Joan’s style is to be described as joyful and high-energy Tech House, full of classic vocals and groovy percussion. Her focus is on telling a realistic and compelling story throughout her set. Ups and downs. Highs and lows.
