This track was created as the theme for an (imaginary) 8-bit JRPG in which the story unfolds simultaneously on a large, volatile planet ruled by feudal lords, and its only moon: a small, verdant paradise that suddenly faces existential threat from a mysterious power after many centuries of peace. These two disparate worlds have long since stopped all contact with each other, but two inhabitants have found they can reach out across the void to each other through their dreams...

It was originally completed within 48 hours as a submission for the OST Composing Jam: CRUNCHTIME, where the theme for the soundtrack was 'Two Worlds.' Some small changes, mainly to the mix, have been made to the post-jam version.

This track was made using Renoise and some chiptune plugins that I programmed myself using the JUCE framework.

​This is a recreation of the Route 113 theme from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, created in Furnace Tracker for the RMX Jam by OST Composing Jam. I have tried to recreate the sound of a Game Boy Advance as faithfully as possible (by combining low-quality samples and the 4 original Game Boy chiptune channels), so you could say it's a Game Boy Advance recreation of a Game Boy Advance song, made from scratch using different instrumentation.
