Vantage Point Racing Club Episode 5

In the last Vantage Point Racing Club podcast for 2022 Ilka reviewed the last run by her colt Kingwell at Lingfield in early November and we hear from another member of the team at Saint Wendred’s horse dentist Jean Luc Chouvier , who has worked with leading horses from all around the world.  We find out via a short Q and A with jump jockey Nick Scholfield whether he likes I’m a Celebrity or Strictly Come Dancing along with a few racing posers.

Vantage Point Racing Club Episode 7

In this month’s podcast Ilka focuses on her exciting new exhibition, "Art & Horse Racing" due to be held at her Saint Wendred’s yard over the Guineas weekend on the first weekend in May.  Ilka talks about what she has planned for Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May where a galaxy of artists from all around the world will be exhibiting a wide variety of art, including sculptures in a beautiful racing yard along the Hamilton Road near the famous Rowling Mile racecourse where Classic racing will be taking place.  
 
On Saturday 6 May the exhibition will be open for a private viewing invitation only  after the 2000 Guineas while on Sunday 7, 1000 Guineas Day the general public will be able to see the exhibition between 10am- 6pm
 
Art & Horse Racing over a classic weekend in Ilka’s fabulous racing yard you couldn’t ask for more. 
 
During this week’s episode Co host Stephen Wallis chats to one of the artists Emily Johnson, the resident artist at Cheltenham racecourse to find out how pleased she is to be part of this unique exhibition.

Vantage Point Racing Club Episode 8

It’s an exciting time at Saint Wendred’s, with a fantastic win for the club; Kingwell at Wolverhampton on 13 February. Along with the buildup to the Ilka’s "Art & Horse Racing" exhibition.

In this podcast you will hear interviews with three of the artists who's artwork will be on display and for sale at ‘Art & Horse Racing’.  
French artist Bénédicte Gelé, American artist Peggy Judy and South African born artist Garth Bayley give an insight into their career in art, their style and how excited they are being part of this unique exhibition on May 6th and 7th.  Links to their websites are shown below.

Paintings are arriving at Saint Wendred’s ahead of Art & Horse Racing, the unique art exhibition on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May at Ilka’s yard.
 
In this podcast you will hear interviews by co-host Stephen Wallis with local artist Clive Dawson who works mainly in acrylics,  along with two American artists Diana Cook from upstate New York and Amanda Markel  Bozeman, Montana.   Diana devotes her time painting narrative scenes most often involving dogs.  Amanda is an internationally collected bronze sculptor and visual storyteller.
 
In the next episode you will hear from more artists who are set to exhibit their work at Art & Horse Racing.
