Read My Love (Extended Mix)

Alright, so this one was a huge work in progress over time. Tonally, this track is inspired by a lot of late 2000s, early 2010s progressive house, most notably, Deadmau5's "Faxing Berlin" and Kaskade's "Move for Me," with the latter being responsible for me falling in love with house music back in HS. I don't normally work with audio files and tend to favor a MIDI workflow, but I have dialed it in over time.

This track began as a late-night piano sketch and wound up evolving into a full-blown synthwave track. This includes a 90 BPM groove, layered analog pads, gated drums, and a melodic topline. The name “Between Phases” is a reference to the song “phases” by Majid Jordan, and more specifically, their album “The Space Between,” one of my top 5 favorite records.

This track is very much inspired by the Deep House movement that ruled the Chicago scene back in the 80s and 90s. It builds over a MIDI saxophone loop. This song was written under my previous alias, "scenic scribe," which has since been switched over to Static Vale.

Windy City

Here is a straight-up Moombahton/Dirty-Dutch Electro house track I created using a combination of Serum 2 and Astra. This is likely my most aggressive non-hard dance style track as of yet. 

Scorching Hot

Alright, so I took "Final Journey" and made it even darker, more dystopian, and more intense by increasing the tempo to 141 bpm and creating a longer, darker, cinematic soundscape for the intro. The overall trance and synthwave elements of the original track otherwise remain. This track is JRPG-inspired; think of various Yoko Shimomura tracks throughout the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy franchises.
