The Sect of Mödest (a.k.a., the Mödestian Rite, or simply Mödest) is a chant/folk band which was formed in Appleton, WI, back in 2015. A subset of the mysterious Knights of Enlightenment, the sevenfold musical group pontificates the mystical creed, doxology, and prophecies through a myriad of psaltries, ranging from the saint-like ecstasy of Christmas at the End of the World, to the pirate folk of Mariner's Carol, to the hip-hop battle cry of Taking Back the Upper Peninsula. A proud Wisconsin band, they firmly believe that their Scandinavian ancestors praise their current location, and bless their music. Capes and cowls, robes and staffs... Mödest expounds that ancient truth pervading all levels of existence, goading you to join their merry parade to eternity.
