I had made this beat in a previous session showed it to Fn Sāge she dug it and started writing to it. This was one where the track really developed over time. I had met Day Luster from a previous session and decided to bring him in on this track and it ended up being the icing in the cake.

I remember Destin playing the demo for this, I knew it would be something special. I ended up getting Luke Schneider from Margo Price to really round out the song on Pedal steel I think really helped make it come to life. Destin is one hell of a talent.

The song speaks for itself what can I say more. When I initially heard the demo it gave me a small early Adele vibe.

This one I combined some Santana vibes with it, it has a very latin feel to it, but Destin wanted to keep a country feel to it like some Strugil Simpson.

Run and operated by musician along with up and coming record producer Josh Altfater, the vision for Southwood Studios started with wanting to mold, develop, and produce young undiscovered talent. Not soon after opening on the corner of Southwood and Third, the recording studio began to take off. Talent started to pour in with Artists of all different genres, from Hip-Hop to Soul, R&B, Folk, and Indie/Rock. In addition Josh has worked with artists such as Tom Blankenship (My Morning Jacket), Luke Schneider (Margo Price), Scott Flynn (Odeza, Pretty Lights), Benny Bloom (Lettuce, Soulive), and Dan White (Huntertones) on songs he produced. Josh’s unique ability to work with each artist and hone in on their vision with his attention to detail, combined with his experience as a musician for the last 15 years is what makes the vibe of Southwood Studios so special and different.
