Label boss Christian Smith is back for his first release on Tronic of 2021. "The Future Is Ours" has his trademark sound of groove, melody, and power. Asquith launches his new label Higher Power with four slabs of pace-y, hardcore and UK breakbeat-tinged techno on the blistering 'Set The Trap EP'.

The newly minted label is set to showcase Asquith's own productions, as well as the output of a select number of other sonically-affiliated artists, and has a stated aim of merging the Copenhagen-via-Berlin fast techno-trance sounds with the UK breakbeat, jungle, garage and sub-heavy genre set.

Here we get a taste of several of the label's key genre tones, all wrapped up in a 145-160bpm shiny fast techno wrapper. Proper road runner club fodder to kick off the summer.

[PREMIERE]  FAXE ON FAXE - SOMETHING HARD + GROOVY

Today we premiere a track from Galway DJ and producer, Fionn Curran, as his 4 track happy hardcore inspired 'DREAM' EP nears its full release on Friday. 

Fionn is no stranger to the Irish circuit, having played sold out club shows in almost every county in Ireland, plus making his international debut in both Glasgow and Liverpool, not to mention most recent performances further afield in Spain of late.

Drawing inspiration from the Newcastle UK based genre 'makina' and old school happy hardcore, with an an added Irish twist, Fionn delivers a varied 4 track EP, which followers of Fionn will certainly recognise from festival performances and club shows this year. 

Today we premiere the lead from track entitled 'Blood Red', as Fionn prepares to drop his first release of the year with Dublin label and club night, Reboot Recordings.
