This is a superb lead-off track on your new project. Your creation of this soundscape, and its orchestration, is fantastic to listen to. Bravo.

Starting a new Sci Fi project based on Adrian Tchaikovsky's book, "Shards of Earth".  This track is inspired by one of the lead characters, Solace, a genetically engineered warrior who is occasionally brought out of suspension to undertake missions. 

All guitar parts were played on a PRS Santana. I created the tone using a Line 6 Obi Wah and Octave Synth effects pedals. The effect is curiously unstable so I had all sorts of fun doing the lead parts. All other instruments are played on a Maschine 2 pad, Native Instruments. The artwork is courtesy of Pinterest.

I've been on Soundcloud for six years now and it's been great exploring the work of other artists.  There is so much generosity of spirit on this platform, it's just what you need when most of your music is made solo. 

I started out playing classical and Spanish guitar, then took up flamenco to ease myself away from the confines of musical notation. As a result, Latin rhythms often creep into my music. 

A friend introduced me to steel string and electric guitars just a few years ago and I still find the scope they bring dizzying... but what fun!
