Tanks of liquified Xenon buried deep under mountains, in high tech installations - sounds like a James Bond villain's environment. But, it's all part of the apparatus needed to disover evidence of WIMPs (Weakly Interacting Massive Particles) believed to account for the observed deficit of mass in the universe.

Step into a moonlit river of sound. Session XIX — Lanterns Over the Water drifts through the heart of Japan’s shrine and lantern traditions, weaving non‐lexical shrine chorus hums, shakuhachi sighs, koto glissandi, and taiko heartbeat pulses into a deep, meditative lounge journey.
Inspired by Kyoto’s Gion nights, coastal lantern festivals, and the still elegance of Shinto shrine waters, this session captures a ritual calm where fireflies, incense smoke, and floating lights move as one.

▸ REGION: Japan — Shinto shrine ambience, lantern festivals, Gion street nights
▸ VOCALS: nonverbal shrine chants, breath vowels (“aaa–ooo–eee”), whispered blessings (“mizu,” “tsuki,” “kokoro”)

I've been on Soundcloud for six years now and it's been great exploring the work of other artists.  There is so much generosity of spirit on this platform, it's just what you need when most of your music is made solo. 

I started out playing classical and Spanish guitar, then took up flamenco to ease myself away from the confines of musical notation. As a result, Latin rhythms often creep into my music. 

A friend introduced me to steel string and electric guitars just a few years ago and I still find the scope they bring dizzying... but what fun!
