"I was introduced to Kingston Wall by a friend in 2011. The band was highly successful in the 90s, and this track, 'The Real Thing', was released in 1994, when I was only 4 years old. I quickly fell in love with the music of Kingston Wall and it grew strong in me over the years.

'The Real Thing' is a track that resonated with me from the very first listen, with its masterfully performed guitar and saxophone parts, as well as an 18-minute arrangement. One day in 2016 I noticed that the original song had a dance tempo, which led me to experiment with it.

I decided to start with the intro ambience and form some kind of structure by looping it. I didn't want to touch most of the track, and ended up sampling just a little vocal, guitar and sax snippets, which I then processed further using different sampling techniques.

The band has somewhat of a cult following, and this is merely my personal tribute to one of the greatest to ever do it."
