Born and raised in New York City, Amira is known for her eclectic, globally inspired sound – rooted in her Egyptian and Algerian heritage and shaped by the city’s cultural mix. She brings a deep love for rhythm and the emotions that connect us all.

Her sets are intended to move both the body and soul; they include groovy, percussive rhythms from around the world, the booty-shaking, urban flair of NYC - with a sprinkle of sazón, and the darker shades of her sound - moody, melancholic melodies layered with sultry vocals and the edge of post-punk and new wave. 

She’s shared stages with legends like Derrick Carter, Gene Farris, Joeski, Rafa Barrios, Lee Burridge, Adam Ten, Theus Mago, Traumer, Yuksek, Sabo, and Crazy P. Her sound has moved crowds at Lightning in a Bottle, CRSSD, Same Same But Different and Music is 4 Lovers.
