STITCH is an electro/breaks & garage infused artist known for his distinctive sound and infectious beats. Hailing from Tipperary, STITCH has been making waves in the underground music scene with his unique blend of garage, bassline, and funky elements.
STITCH’s tracks are characterized by infectious basslines, intricate percussion, and many strange effects and samples in his collection. From deep and moody tunes to high-energy anthems, STITCH’s discography offers a diverse range of sonic experiences that keep listeners hooked.

“With the DGK remix, I have loved that vocal for time now. It was the first vinyl I ever bought and some time around last summer I sampled it and worked on it for my alias “Die Groovige Katze”. Having listened to it then some time ago I just couldn’t help myself from using it again, and I thought the best way to do that was to make a “STITCH” edit, the benefit of having more than one alias!
My concept for this remix was developed by stripping it back, taking some elements from the original while maintaining and incorporating the sound I pose under my STITCH alias. The result is a dark room edit, which can be played in many different venues but maintains a bouncy feel as a nod to the original.”

Indian duo Baalti make an explosive debut on Steel City Dance Discs with 'Overbit' - lead single taken from their forthcoming Mela EP, influenced by the high-energy sound system culture of West Bengal.

Mela (translating to festival/gathering) sees the Indian-born, Brooklyn-based duo dive into the riotous sound clash traditions of West Bengal and Maharashtra, where towering, DIY sound systems rigged up by local crews transform the streets into electric battlegrounds of bass, rhythm, and sound. The result is four tracks that draw a direct line between Indian sound clashes and the forward-thinking pulse of UK club culture. 

'Overbit' pulls the listener into the mela with engulfing bass dives, crowd noise and head-spinning percussion workouts.
