The track originated from the three bass lines and 808 drums that you can hear at 00:12. Back then, we came up with a groovy beat sketch and locked it away in the "shadows", letting it simmer and brew. Sometime later, the fates intervened, drawing us back to this musical idea. We unravelled the secrets of the loop, weaving them into the composition you hear today, called "Out of the Shadows"

Some pointed out a similarity with "Clubbed to Death" by Rob Dougan. Could it be because of the G, A, Bb, and C notes played by the low strings in the chorus?
