User Experience welcomes young German and living meme, Nils Viktor Voss, or Corroid as the world will know him from now on. Corroid sent me a track a while back for mastering.. an absolute face melter. I asked him via the medium of dance if he had any more tracks. Now I cannot get rid of him, he sends stuff all the time, if it’s not music it’s memes. The only way I am able to deactivate the meme machine is to try and divert his attention elsewhere. So, find him on facebook, meme him until he is unable to function.

Joining Corroid on this record are two fucking amazing artists who I admire a great deal; Myler and Jasmine Azarian who both execute their remixes with precise brutality.

This is an unusual record as the manufacturing won’t start until the kickstarter has reached 120 pre orders. If the world is truly evil and we don’t get enough pre orders the EP will come out as digital only.

As for the track names I considered translating for the ignorant English (myself included) then I heard Corroid’s flatmate say.. ‘YOU CANNOT TRANSLATE THEM, THIS IS TRUE ART’. Well thats bollocks but tbh I don’t have time for translations.

Fran Hartnett is one the most well-respected and talented artists in Ireland. His productions have been pushing boundaries for a number of years now and have garnered support from some of the biggest in the game.

In between producing bangers and destroying warehouses as a DJ/Live Act, Fran is also one of the most highly-regarded tattoo artists around and also has a good eye for design, having designed the artwork his recent User Experience release and many other records.

User Experience [UX] is the new label project from JoeFarr and has featured many of his own works as well as contributions from Insolate, Kata Mercado, Myler, amongst others.

The tenth edition comes as digital and super limited vinyl, from EKORS a trio that wish to remain anonymous, but with all the secrecy what we do know is they’re from France and judging by the Heretic Timber EP, they are here to shake things up with some real dark and powerful productions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the opening track called “Balsam Fir” is the least intense of the five on offer, yet still frantic and a total weapon in our book. The gritty atmospherics, pulsing flow and chopping hypnosis are the main body, throw in a multitude of terrifying tone hooks and industrial influences, this analogue jam is an absolute stormer.

“On a cold winter night in the depth of the Broceliande forest, three french woodcutters/techno producers, completely high on calvados, made a simple statement that will become their manifesto; the french scene needs more grit, more darkness, more stress and more fucking chainsaw! 

To make it short, we all need a good punch in the face! A few studio sessions later, the new project was started, on a base of hard wood kicks, acid maple soundscapes and chopped’n hacked leads. The heavy silver machinery grinded menacingly, the sounds echoing through the corridors of the factory. Despite this it felt eerily quiet; no chattering voices, no music transmitting from the radios around the work rooms. There was no longer any need for humans in this place, their capabilities were no match for these mechanics. It had become a self-functioning operation, taking out the very component that created them in the first place. This was a vision of the future, soon there would become no need for the living. 

Manchester-native Rowka returns to JoeFarr's User Experience imprint for an EP after debuting on a VA compilation in April of this year. This time label boss Joe and Tenebre step up for remix duties, the latter bringing omnious metallic textures to turn 'Source' into an off-kilter techno workout.

For our next premiere we bring to you a hench remix of Rowka's 'Deconstruct' by UX label bossman JoeFarr.
