Hi.

I'm finishing new songs, some of them to propose new collaborations, whose participants don't know it yet. It is still fun and risky.

Speaking of risks, what I am reissuing today is a risky bet because it strays away from my electronic melodic style and..... there is no piano.

In 2018 Steinberg bought Xewton that he was the creator of the DAW that i use..

This was the first composition that he made after that acquisition.

They proposed a theme for a contest...the future. And this is what I composed.

I used a percussive harp along with other electronic elements from my inseparable kv331, which, as I have said before, I can no longer use on my ipad, but I wanted to give it strength using alternative rock melodies that went from that style to electronic in different parts of the melody.

I think that I abuse tracks, although it is not noticeable due to its alternative use.

Mill Lane is our temporary rehearsal space this year - located in the nth suburbs of Hobart its a huge warehouse that is in the process of being emptied of museum equipment. Each week the space gets bigger and more cathedral like as the crates go out the roller door. Heres a little taste from the other night.. you will need to excuse me on 2 fronts - My zoom seems to be reaching the end of its life so the recordings is pretty scratchy and 2 I reckon i am a bit out of tune... anyway the energy is good and the ears locked in to what the other musician is doing which I guess is the main thing. Happy Riffing

An instrumental tribute to my favourite three piece rock band.
Formed in 1968, they were at the top of their game as musicians and songwriters and had a massive following across the globe. Currently they are ranked fifth in the U.S. for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio album sales by a rock band, only behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss and Aerosmith.
I had the pleasure of seeing them play live many times during their lengthy career and it always amazed me how three guys could make such an amazing sound. They finally called it a day with the sad passing of their drummer in 2020. The song title is a reference to the place where they were formed and to the lyrics of one of their early songs, but who were they?

The Original intent of this tune was something quite different than what lt has become. One of the most beautiful Things about a Collaboration ls that sometimes lt goes where lT wants to go- This ls one of those Cases:):)
Stephen who gave wonderful Guitar and percussives Also did the lnltlal production Work- We had somehow entered the land of EDM with the introduction of the lyrics- And then much to my pleasure and surprise, REKHA Came Aboard and brought her lovely and formidable  voice, humor, and production skills to co-produce with Stephen for this final whimsical break up /apocalypse song- Thank you my friends, lt doesn't get any better than this;)
