Italian Techno heavyweights Markantonio and Rino Cerrone finally name their collaborative ventures after ten years of gigs and productions together, and the name is Junction Hands.

'Revolution is Back' is the first full release under the Junction Hands moniker, following a well received outing as part of the recent 'The Napoli Connection EP' on Adam Beyer's Drumcode and it sees the two veterans deliver some of their strongest work yet.

The title track is a pacey number with a reverb soaked yet warm atmosphere which underpins an aggressive, simple and incredibly effective bass/drum loop which gains intensity throughout. Sharp sounds puncture the groove here there which keeps things interesting but it's the discordant stabs in the break which push things into overdrive.

The equally hypnotic and driving 'Thing For Hands' follows but manages to do so with an increased feeling of woozy menace. Synths feedback on themselves to shattering crescendos before subsiding into waves of Noise while the groove relentlessly works it's magic.

With Junction Hands there's yet another must-check name coming out of the Neapolitan scene.

Swedish house queen La Fleur takes things up a gear or two and drops a floor bomb with her mix of 'Soft Synth'. Funk infused bass and a slammer of a beat, this is pure peak hour material from the finest order. Additionally we have Blissful Ignorance remixed by newcomer Sabb into a fine slab of dubbed out house, as well as the original mix for those who missed it on the album. Enjoy !

Neil Terry - Very good package, plain and simple. I love the original of 'Is This Goodbye' and dare I say that the TOU remix is as good as if not better? Just pushes all the right buttons for me, warm druggy House with that bubbling bottom end that is kind of en vogue right now (no bad thing). Will definitely be playing this out. Second favourite of the cuts is the Sabb mix of 'Blissful Ignorance', percussion, pianos and synths are really well programmed to make it a nice early night or early morning blissed out groover.

Dutch producer Bas Bron aka Fatima Yamaha has been hammering out quality releases under numerous aliases for more than a decade now. Nevertheless it wasn’t until the 2015 re-issuing of his fourteen-year-old track ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ on Dekmantel Records, that his gush into the underground forefront has now exhilarated his unique talent. Fatima Yamaha starts of the 2017 year of Dekmantel Records with his second EP for the Amsterdam label and ‘Araya’ promises to be a worthy successor of his 2015 success.

The title track ‘Araya’ is the absolute eye catcher of this EP. Already tested in Fatima Yamaha’s highly anticipated live-sets in the last months, with great response, ‘Araya’ is a dramatic curtain raiser that only he can make. Next to that, Bron effectively spills his keen ear for melody on the A-side with his typical electro-funk with ‘Piayes Beach Bar And Grill’. On the flip crystalline synth drops, a classic piano and skipping drums are the main ingredients for ‘Romantic Bureaucracy’.
