After a blistering opener to the series from Jossy, we are proud to present to you the second edition of our podcast dedicated to the art of wax! Hour long mixes of nothing but the finest crackles and pops from obscure record labels, old and new.

The second serving of Black Gold has been plated up for you by the talented Mr. Daniel George. Tracked down somewhere between Melbourne and Sydney, Daniel has a keen eye for tight production and groove-driven mixing that has him revered by many. 

In Black Gold 002, Daniel George demonstrates his taste towards more introspective records, filled with melodic excursions and intricate percussion. 

“This was a great opportunity to show-off some of those stranger records, that don’t always get pulled out at a gig. Putting together this mix was incredibly comforting for me, because it is an escape. Shutting everything out for an hour and having a personal dance next to a painting inscribed with the words ‘Afternoon Delight’ on it was quite fitting and a blessing.”
