Sequenz is the second single from Neosignal’s debut album ‘Raum und Zeit’ which was released in June '13 and follows ‘Planet Online’, the track and accompanying video that became a viral hit, with coverage from Vimeo (Staff Pick), The Guardian, Buzzfeed, The Sun Online, Vibe, UKF and beyond.

‘Sequenz’ has been a mainstay for Neosignal’s live show, exemplified via performances at Fabric, Urban Art Forms Festival Graz/AU, Dockville Festival Hamburg/DE, BASSart Festival in Munich/DE, Melkweg Amsterdam/NL and beyond, and recently featured in the official PlayStation 4 ‘Best Games Trailer’ at Gamescom. In addition to remixes from Mefjus, Jan Driver and 12th Planet, ‘Sequenz’ is accompanied by another original track, ‘Dernier Cri’.

The group of miscreants hastily clambered into the back of their cobbled-together hovercar as their driver slammed his foot onto the accelerator and sent the group speeding away from the wanton destruction that they had wrought amidst a cloud of multicolored plasma exhaust. As it shot across the hollowed wreckage of one of their home megacity’s most desolate districts the hovercar’s misaligned antigravity suspension routinely jostled its passengers, who used such moments to attempt to playfully shove their compatriots off the side of the vehicle. Though they were in no real danger whilst tethered to the vehicle’s safety system, the shock & shame of spending the ride home floating in antigrav before being unceremoniously dropped on the floor of the gang’s garage provided high enough stakes to keep things interesting.

As their hovercar’s suspension careened off of a particularly large chunk of rubble in the street before them, the group shouted with glee amidst the thrill of their game. Indeed, it was not until they began to fall from the sky that they noticed that their craft had failed to restabilize its gravity field. Suddenly, the group was plucked from their freefall and pulled back upwards into the air, before being released again, stuck as they were within the humiliating experience of their vehicle's antigravity field in EMERGENCY LOOP.

DUB ELEMENTS return to EATBRAIN alongside newcomer MIDNIGHT CVLT to deliver their latest single, EMERGENCY LOOP. Within, a set of circuitous rhythms and maximalist sound design are sure to inspire fervor on the dancefloor, imbuing listeners with the frenzied energy of a DJ seeking to emerge from the grip of the single’s namesake phenomenon.

Rumours of the infernal mechanism were rife amongst the population, that somewhere deep in the sublevels of the city it waited with the eternal patience that belongs only to machines. It was said that those people whom the system had broken, whose minds had snapped – ejecting them from the social architecture… were first incarcerated, analyzed and then taken to it to be erased completely. He was about to find out the truth of this, dragged from his metallic cell by those machine claws, his arms bound tightly across his chest and vocal chords paralyzed. He wanted to scream, terror engulfing him and winding around his vertebrae, giving birth to a black hole within the pit of his stomach... but all that emerged was a whimper of despair. It was registered by the synthetic mind and catalogued in its vast archive of variations of this moment - its casual analysis of this journey to death. The chamber was incomprehensibly vast… and it was there waiting, reaching with its threatening appendages from the shadows, its diabolical jaws enshrouded in the dull green light of a vast viewing screen displaying the symbol of the architect. The teeth started that relentless slicing, the very ground trembling through the power of its mighty workings, the mechanism to be his absolute obliteration… those claws pulling him inexorably towards the end as the view screen changed and flashes the word ‘goodbye’. The GRINDER completes its work. In the almost oblivious streets above, a faint rumble is felt – knowing, fearful looks are briefly exchanged before the citizens hurry on with their business.
 
Apex neuro and tech producer MAZTEK arrives with his first full EP on leading d&b label, EATBRAIN. Following up appearances on the label’s Tales of the Undead and Mirror Universe VA LP’s, the GRINDER EP sees Maztek deliver 4 tracks of high-grade dancefloor weaponry, enwrapped in the kind of heavy sonic technology that his fans have come to expect. From the tear-out but tightly wound collaboration with with June Miller in BLAFFER, to the grime-influenced and glitched vocals of GOOD QUESTION that comes in heavy with the evil bounce of its bass – the EP runs a diverse and unique flex. Title-track GRINDER delivers an appropriately punishing assault, packed with sinister sound design and brooding, dynamic riff, whilst TANGLE delivers an edgy and lightly percussive shuffle to accompany its powerful bass. The vile resting ground had nurtured their twisted feline forms, arching their twisted spines in death’s torment - filling them with the insatiable hunger for life… Driven by unrequitable desires to cross back through the veil of the deceased. 

Their bones trembled beneath the damp earth, full of rage and grim determination; shaking loose the soil of their burial ground… Pushing upward towards the night air and breaking free of the eternal slumber – back into the realm of warm life, full of those ready to be fed upon. Skeletal tails wove through the shadows of night, sharp incisors ready to feast on their prey, glinting in the light of the fragile moon - the Zombie Cats are stalking the night again and no warm creature is safe whilst they are ALIVE!

The ZOMBIE CATS make a dramatic return to the EATBRAIN label, following up their much-loved Must Eat EP with the terrors of their fresh ALIVE EP (also featuring SAFRA and core Eatbrain producer L 33). I have been working on this album over the past months, producing all tunes, working on the collaborations & remixes and finding artwork. For this release, I commissioned drawings from Tokyo based Anime artist Kikai, while Kristof of NOSQRL graphics provides artwork for FSRECS, and the cover of this album. I've been testing all those tracks live during my bookings throughout Europe and even got the chance to play them in Tokyo - Japan, and hope you will enjoy them as much as I did over the last months - it's in your hands now. 
The album consists of various kinds of music I like and love to procude, crossbreeding Drum &amp; Bass, Drumstep, Electro and Dubstep - yet they are united by one common idea. They seek to push the boundries of heavy sound and are drilled to the maximum of hardness, hence the title: To The Threshold. I would like to thank all the people who were involved in the project, artists, graphic designers, and everyone who helped making this possible.
