Release Info: 
Phenomena ushers in 2019 with a new EP from label boss Solid Stone. The Canadian artist is coming off an inspiring year, one of artistic growth and creative evolution. In forging a new sonic aesthetic, Solid Stone saw support from some of electronic music's most respected artists, most notably Agents Of Time, Sasha and Tale Of Us. Now beginning 2019 by returning to his home imprint, Solid Stone presents his much anticipated 'Monsoon' EP.

Beginning with the title and showcase piece 'Monsoon' Solid Stone crafts a proper slice of melodic minimalism. Warm punchy beats, tranquil arps and organic drums begin the seven minute journey. Senses heighten as glowing pads and emotive atmospheres converge in the ultimate sonic marriage. Percussive flurries and warm bass swells further advance the narrative, free flowing effortlessly into a cinematic break. Symphonic in nature, the interlude melts down to a cascading lead theme, opening up with each successive loop, before shifting energy into a timeless finale. 

The companion piece 'The Shadow Hill' follows a similar sonic ethos, making it a perfect complement to round out the EP. Sitting at the heart of the piece is a tightly wound arp and distinctive vocal narrative. Devilish yet intriguing, it's esoteric nature is inviting as growling swells, striking shades and subtle tones make for an incredibly heady journey. The storyboard becomes fully realized in the main break, as vocals fade and astral designs spiral further into your subconscious, before waves of beats and percussion fuel a powerful third act. It caps off what is an auspicious start to the year for Solid Stone and Phenomena, who respectively continue to push the creative envelope with fresh ideas and carefully curated releases.
