Das Album hatte in seinem Heimatland Irland bereits Nummer 1 Erfolg und erhielt eine Vielzahl an Kritiken und Beifällen („Eines der ersten großartigen, „wahren“  Alben der letzten 10 Jahre“, so das Dubliner Magazin). Nach seiner umfangreichen Tour durch Amerika wird James seine Platte und seine wundervollen Live Shows im frühen Jahr 2011 nach England bringen.

James Vincent McMorrow‘s Musikleben begann fernab vom Folk-Image seines Debuts. Seine frühere Liebe zur Musik zeigte sich vielmehr im Hardcore Rock (Refused, At The Drive In and Glassjaw), weshalb sich McMorrow auch dazu entschloss Drums zu spielen. Seine musikalischen Interessen weiteten sich später auf Acts wie Crosby, Stills oder Nash aus. Nachdem er schließlich Donny Hathaway‘s „I Love You More Than You Will Ever Know“ hörte, entschloss er sich letztendlich zu singen. 

Aufgrund seiner hohen, souligen Stimme fand James Vincent McMorrow besondere Unterstützung von weiblichen Singer/Songwriterinnen. „Ich kann deren Art eine Melodie zu schreiben fast schon besser verstehen, als den Weg, den männliche Sänger einschlagen“, so McMorrow. „Es ist gerade einmal vier Jahre her als ich meinen ersten Song geschrieben habe. Ich wusste, dass ich gewisse Dinge zu diskutieren habe, bevor ich diese zu Blatt bringe.“

Mit „We Don’t Eat“ folgt nun zur Tour die dritte Auskopplung aus dem Debut „Early In The Morning“. Das renomierte englische Blatt „The Guardian“ titelt „The Irish songsmith's haunting, soulful sound blossoms....he will be unstoppable' Guardian
