“I Care Because He Does.”









This is a page inspired by the artist Richard D. James, more specifically, his work on the Rephlex Records label, unreleased/rare releases, and the album he released under the alias “The Tuss”, called “Rushup Edge.” Leading up to this official release, there were multiple MySpace pages said to be accounts belonging to The Tuss. At this point in 2023, it is still unclear how much of these Tuss accounts Rich was involved in… the only confirmed RDJ Tuss material are the aforementioned “Rushup Edge”, and the ep the preceded it, called “Confederation Trough”.

This page also focuses heavily on the “SoundCloud Dump”, which was a series of releases uploaded to a number of anonymous accounts on SoundCloud that eventually became clear to the world to be Richard. It is an astonishing amount of material - spanning his entire artistic career. They eventually were taken down by his record label, but there are a number of folks that compiled each track in a zip archive and can be downloaded for free to this day on archive.org. 

Though this page is dedicated to and inspired by Aphex Twin - I came to a turning point with where to take this page. The main goal is to promote. In other words,  to provide a place online for fans of Aphex Tain to easily stream the best of their favorite artist, as well as showing younger fans of electronic music who I believe is the greatest electronic musician. 

I’ve also uploaded various tracks from a few other artists that are either collaborators, influencers or those influenced by Aphex Twin. You will find some original DJ mixes done by me and some straight up “mixtape” style hour long tracks arranged by and mastered by me. 

I do not profit in any way from this monetarily speaking, but I do get a lot out of seeing the comments and the joy that the songs uploaded bring about, and archives are important.
