♦ CAN YOU SHORTLY DESCRIBE WHO YOU ARE ?

Dj Barbo$$a is an AKA project for Ainëe (Housewax021). I live in Milan but I was born and raised in Bari a little town in the south of Italy. 

♦ WHEN/WHERE DID YOU START LISTENING/PRODUCING/MIXING ELECTRONIC MUSIC ?

Since when I was a kid, I approached the music in a more personal way. I never thought I would be a dj so I used to search for music that was good only to me and not for the crowd.
Then I met almost 3 years ago one of my biggest friend right now Nico Lahs (Rawax/Ovum/Poker Flat) and he taught me how to express my feelings and my emotions with the music. He has shown me a whole new face of electronic music.
So I started to produce my own music and during this years I tried to focus on finding my own style. A couple of months ago I released my first EP on Housewax Rec as Ainëe in collaboration with another of my biggest friend Geffen (AKA St David).

♦ WHICH ARTISTS/LABELS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE OVER YOUR MUSIC ?
During these years I started to approach the scene of Lo-fi/Raw music following labels like Lobster Theremin, L.I.E.S. or The Trilogy Tape. At the same time I started to collect vinyls of my favorites tracks.
Dj Barbo$$a is a project that is born with the purpose to be part of this scene.

♦ WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE SHORT FUTURE ?

In the near future I will release my first EP as Dj Barbo$$a on one of my favorites Labels right now and it will be just the first one… I hope !
