In Hour 2 we hand over Darwin, the boss of Berlin based label SPE:C, which recently dropped 'Behemoth'  by previous guest Decka. She had this to say about her mix;
'I guess you could say I was pretty late to the party... I only started listening to dubstep about 4 years ago while literally stumbling on a friends old record collection left in my flat. Most of it was total crap but there were a few OG gems in there that got me completely turned on to the sound. After a few years of collecting, I was burning to do a mix to show my take on a genre that's been sorta swept under a rug. Recorded on two turntables, a 92 and lots of love... '

The streets are empty

This track is one of an assemblage of 6 compositions I've created for my debut release. I am releasing this unfinished version so people can get a preview of the set I and Jason Takahashi will be performing at Rootwire Festival 2K12 in Logan OH. All the songs are tuned to specific solfeggio frequencies and have been shown to aid humans in many different healing and empowering ways. Many composers have created music and soundscapes for these frequencies, most of them slow and atmospheric. These tracks are intended to be high energy to encourage ecstatic dance states in the listener. Working closely with these frequencies has done wonders for me personally and i encourage anyone who is interested to further explore this realm.

Bristol based label Locus Sound have certainly put a shift in since launching in 2017. Throughout their eleven releases, they haven't been scared to put some fairly unknown figures into the spotlight, giving them a chance to unveil their fresh, innovative sounds to the world and in turn, becoming one of the most freshest, forward-thinking labels about.
