This Dead Zone was originally recorded for and meant to air on Sunday, March 24th, but due to a pre-emption by the New York Islanders broadcast (WRHU is the radio voice of Islanders hockey), it was rescheduled for April 7th.  This DZ opens with Sublime's arrangement of "Scarlet Begonias," and then focuses on the last live performance (3/23/1974, Cow Palace) before the GD went into the studio to record the album "Mars Hotel."  Set list includes:

The Last Suppit

This Dead Zone, which was originally aired Sunday, August 18, 2019 (6-8pm EST) on WRHU Radio Hofstra University, 88.7FM/WRHU.ORG, features the highlights from the sets of music I caught at the Peach Festival 2019, Montage Mountain, Scranton, PA, Saturday July 27th.   After catching Lettuce on Friday, July 26th at the State Theater in my hometown of Portland, Maine, I drove down to the Peach where I set up my campsite high atop the mountain.   Without time to rest, I made it back down the mountain and to the main stage where Lettuce was the headliner for the afternoon.   The evening’s headliners where the Trey Anastasio Band (2 sets), and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD), who got underway at midnight!  The soundboard recordings of the highlights are stunning.

He produces the show from the Turkey Studios, in his home town of Portland, Maine.
