Zu K-Paul muss man nicht mehr viele Worte verlieren, ist er doch als Teil von Lexy & K-Paul oder solo und auf Labels wie Low Spirit, FourMusic, BAR25, Katermukke oder dem eigenen Musicismusic seit Jahrzehntenpräsent. Gerade weil es inzwischen nicht mehr ganz so laut undwirbelwindig um ihn zu sein scheint, freuen wir uns umso mehr über dieseneue EP auf Broque. Entstanden bereits vor einiger Zeit in einem kleinenFischerdorf auf La Palma, ist No You inzwischen gereift wie ein guterWein, der endlich getrunken werden möchte. Getragen von den Vocals vonTua, einer melancholischen Grundstimmung und einer wunderbar warmbollernden Produktion erstrahlt hier ein kleines Kleinod, das das Kunststück schafft, zugleich balearische (oder besser: kanarische) Entspannung und mainfloorkompatibles Hitpotential auszustrahlen. Deretwas perkussivere Remix von Gabriel Ananda schraubt nochmal etwas denSchunkelfaktor nach oben, während Georg Neufelds Lido Dub sich über 11Minuten sehr viel Zeit lässt, und mit viel dubbiger Deepness eher durchdie Hintertür kommt. Das Sahnehäubchen verpasst dem Stück dann db-Maui,dessen Remix gewohnt eklektisch warme Chords, zwitschernde Acid Lines undganz viel Athmosphäre in einen wunderbar stimmungsvollen und zugleichzeitlosen Dancefloor-Track verwandelt, mit dem man gerne in denkanarischen Sonnenaufgang tanzen möchte.

Created some time ago in a small fishing village on La Palma, NoYou has matured like a fine wine that is finally ready to be enjoyed inits full flavor. Carried by Tua's vocals, a melancholic mood and awonderfully warm and deep production, this little gem manages to exuderelaxed Balearic (or rather Canarian) vibes and main floor-compatiblehit potential at the same time. Gabriel Ananda's slightly morepercussive remix hits you with an even more functional approach to thetheme, while Georg Neufeld's Lido Dub takes its time over more than 11minutes and finds its peaktime appeal through the back door with a lotof dubby deepness. db-Maui puts the icing on the cake by transforming NoYou into a wonderfully atmospheric and timeless dancefloor track witheclectic warm chords, twinkling acid lines and lots of atmosphere, whichmakes you want to dance into the Canarian sunrise.

Here’s my live set from the CoSy Festival 2025 — part of the @kosmos_records showcase on the „Raum & Zeit Floor“! I played from 00:00 to 01:00 on Saturday night, performing a full live set featuring 11 of my own productions — some already released, others still unreleased and waiting to see the light of day. Wenn wir keine Fragen mehr haben und uns die Antworten zugeflogen kommen, wenn der nächste Schritt die natürlichste Sache der Welt ist: Manche nennen das Glück, Mark Brainford und Joe Fisher nennen es Flow: Melodischer Techno voller oszillierender Details und pulsierender Portale durch den ein verträumtes Vocal schwebt. Im Remix von Mono&Kusten geht die Sonne auf, dementsprechend warm und hell fühlt sich diese Version an. Die trancigen Synthie-Linien und modulierenden Arpeggios von Lume schlängeln sich zwischen dem Krachen der Snare hindurch und zeichnen dabei das flimmernde Bild eines Festival-Dancefloors. Der Remix von Alex Hoevelmann bewegt sich auf Broken Beats zwischen chilliger Electronica und entspanntem Tanz, die Piano-Sounds und das Vocal erzeugen dicke Gänsehaut.
