LB aka LABAT is back on his own Poumpet imprint this February with a new single, entitled ‘Lose You In The Dark’ and accompanied by a remix from X Club. (Steel City Dance Discs, 10 Pills Mate, Stay On Sight).

Paris-based LB aka LABAT has been releasing his distinctive twist on House, Techno, and all things in between over the past decade and in February of this year he inaugurated his new label Poumpet Records, a platform launched to release a single from the French artist every
month alongside occasional remixes from friends in the industry.
LB aka LABAT’s original version of ‘Lose You In The Dark’ takes the lead, a dynamic four-minute club workout fuelled by autotuned vocal hooks, fluttering synth keys, bumpy, swinging drum breaks and haunting strings throughout.

The X Club. duo follow next with their remix, twisting the original into a high octane, groove-driven club cut, extracting remnants of the original’s vocal line and melodic elements while introducing swirling stab sequences, shuffled drums and a pulsating sub for a more hypnotic
Techno feel.

On ‘Minor fools’, Dam Swindle go into classic US house mode. Shuffling hats and bouncy bass lay the foundation for some crunchy jazz chords (think Underground Resistance, with a Swindle touch. The track keeps building up tension with haunting organs, looped vocals, and modulated keys. Add to that a bouncy synth section at the heart of the track and you’ve got a jam that slaps hard.
