The runway was set and the wind howled around the empty airport. The flight would soon depart, bringing with it the fear of god to some far away land. Camoflauge covered its metal frame, overbearing and murky. This was a plane of war and whilst its flight may bring peace, its actions would not. In the air it was a thing of beauty, a floating shape against the dark nights sky. To those on the ground it was an evil omen which would swoop from above bringing nothing but pain. Fight, the plan, fight the plane. 

Landings are to release a two track EP on Vim & Vigour. The pair have produced a record of dynamic construction, fusing a jazz style undercurrent with electronics.

Hot Toddy makes his debut on House of Disco records and marks his first solo release in 5 years with this three tracker of originals where love is the message.

Long-serving disco-house fusionist Hot Toddy (AKA Crazy P co-founder Chris Todd) is in a loved-up mood on this rather tasty three-tracker. Surprisingly, it's his first solo single for some five years, and his first for House of Disco. It's the breezy, funk-fuelled A-side "In The Genes", in which Todd expertly fuses together elements most often found in proto-house, NYC boogie, early house and disco-funk records, that stands out, though the standard naturally remains high elsewhere. "Love Music", for example, is a wonderfully sauced-eyed stroll through dreamy deep house/disco fusion, while closer "Love Can Set You Free" sits somewhere between stripped-back disco-house, percussive boogie and Idjut Boys style dub disco.

Guede Remixes is a compilation of remixes of DJ Hell taken from his 5th studio album Zukunftsmusik. The release features two remixes by Joyce Muniz and one by Paul Nazca. Guede’s soundscape is acidic yet minimal, with its distorted vocals and raucous instrumentation lending the track an eerie and at times ethereal vibe. Each artist brings a uniquely different perspective on the sound of the original cut, whilst never completely abandoning the track’s core identity. Paul Nazca infuses it with trance, Joyce Muniz keeps the acid and adds the deep. Guede Remixes is set to release on International Deejay Gigolo Records on vinyl and digital.

Marco Manrique and Simon Cortez, who together form Filta Freqz, showcase their versatility in their debut for DFTD, 'Master Blaster EP'. The title track 'Master Blaster' features hip-hop vocals and a swinging 4/4, accented by sax blasts and a funking bass bridge. 'Show Me', utilises a similarly direct 4/4 but is otherwise a far cry from the New York hip-hop style first track. It comes as a classic feel-good house track with soul powerhouse vocals, piano riffs and a pumping bassline. A very strong debut EP demonstrating some seriously diverse influences from the Filta Freqz duo.
