On remix duties, Donald's House kick things off with a brilliant reimagining of 'Macchina Bum Bum', complimenting the vocals with a squiggly, wiggly, funky and propulsive retro-futurist instrumental. Just try not to throw your hands in the air when the synth melody comes in around the halfway mark! A certified stone cold banger, ready for peak-time deployment.

We discovered this song through an instagram story of good friend, Belgrade's famous @kristijanmolnar and got immediately engaged to the sound and the vocal. Following the thread we found the artist behind Buba @milos-bulajic from Montenegro and agreed on to release this gem the proper way.

Neo-progressive rock / jazz fusion band EAST was a collective of open minded and talented musicians in the late 70's and 80's. Although the iron curtain and the peculiar heritage of socialist era in Eastern Europe they were able to tour around the world, and also put timeless and special records on the table.

“Agymosas” means “Brainwash” simply: the lyrics from 1983 sounds valid about the effect and power of marketing, especially when we think of the meta period which knocks on our doors already.

Rich in melody and instantly classic in feel, Luca dell’Orso debuts on CWPT with a mini-album of lush Italo, sensitively summoned from the Netherlands. Having impressed with previous releases on labels including Bordello A Parigi and Red Laser Records, this longer player demonstrates a delicate approach to his studio, flitting between pop songwriting and analog experimentation.

From the soft fanfare that announces ‘Solitair & Solidair,’ ‘Actors’ establishes a confident groove that gently pushes an Alfa Romeo pedal toward Balearic ecstasy. On the instantaneous lead single ‘Dear Rosie,’ dell’Orso blends the signature palette of the vintage Yamaha DX7 synthesizer with longing vocals from collaborator Jolisa. A paean to a special person from a distant past, ‘Dear Rosie’ is blessed with a wistful melody befitting a classic Eric Rohmer film, a musical postcard of a treasured connection. From wistful midsummer memories, dell’Orso easily transports listeners to another season entirely with ‘Winter Scent’, a deep meditation reflecting the artist’s walks in the few hours of available sunlight, thoughts beautifully vocoded beneath a heavy sonic layer.

Out of this lavish gloom blossoms the inevitable sound of spring on the driving, optimistic ‘Love by Association’; an enduring recipe of distinct drums and pitch-shifting synthesis, frozen in time for frenetic Eurodisco dancefloors. On ‘Propaganda’, dell’Orso offers a more forceful take on the same instincts, skipping inner-Schengen borders to simmer via industrially-tinted pleasures as revealed in Dusseldorf, 1984. For a sublime finale, ‘This Time (Things Will Be Different)’ takes to the piano, where Luca dell’Orso finds space to demonstrate the elegant minimalism that easily coexists alongside his timeless energy.

We’re happy to cordially invite you to the Regression Session, hosted by eternal Philadelphia scene flag bearers @zillasonacid ! And if you think this sounds awfully lot like a scam, you’re probably right: „Regression Session“ is just a front of their illegal black market operation, trading raw uncut gems on a large scale. Just listen to the opener and title track and you won’t exactly have a strong case for the Zillas selling out, but rough as it is, this thing is capable of destroying any dancefloor it touches. Looking at their recent releases it’s fair to say the Z’s are on quite a run, putting out music on labels like Permanent Vacation, Throne Of Blood, Multi Culti or Ivan Smagghe’s Disques de la Mort. Tunes like the sneaky rough slow burners „Underling“ or „Start Digging“ sound like they could be lifted from the latter’s infamous DJ sets, while the deceptively titled „Cha Cha Cha“ or closer „Casual Observer“ justify the „Acid“ in the artist name. „Shining Snakes Across The Lake“ is what some years might have been called a mid-tempo house roller and probably counts as downtempo these days. Speaking of tempos, the penultimate „Sweet Days Of Discipline“ starts of masquerading as reaaally downtempo, but ends up throwing 155bpm kick drums at you, so better watch out, all you k-hole ravers! Let’s not forget to talk about „bquiet“, which is what you’d call mid-tempo house these days (125bpm) and uses the eternally banging combination of a jacking beat, a polyrhythmic bass line, some lead-synth stabs and talking vocal slices. You can practically smell the sweat. So what’s left to say? What you see is what you get: They are Zillas, and they are on Acid. And they provide a collection of eight tunes that probably each don’t necessarily have a double-digit amount of tracks in their DAW projects, and that’s exactly what makes them so forceful. 'Valentina' nace de la observación y escucha de los sonidos cotidianos que configuran la identidad sonora del barrio: la tienda de la esquina, la estación del metro, el billar, las calles, los cruces, la plaza, el mercado. Espacios donde la música no es una elección, sino un pulso constante de la vida. La percusión de la calle, el eco de una radio lejana, una conversación espontánea: todo es materia prima. A partir de ahí, el proceso se traslada al estudio, donde el bajo, los sintetizadores y la drum machine funcionan como herramientas de traducción: lo que comienza como un registro de realidad se transforma en una interpretación musical.

As they did on their last release, Hell Yeah once again look to offer new takes on some of their excellent recent album projects here. This new EP finds four producers tackling tracks from Tempelhof’s blissful and beautiful, ambient and slo-mo work alongside Gigi Masin, namely 2014’s Hoshi. Those producers are Ptaki, Balearic Gabba Sound System as well as label regular Luminodisco and the legendary Reverso 68.

First up is fast rising The Very Polish Cut-Outs artist Ptaki, who with his remix offers up a seductive and sombre number with lazy chords, gently swaying drums and a subtle balearic feel. Dreamy vocals complete the picture, but buy the EP digitally and you will also get a bonus instrumental.

Then comes the label’s in house and off kilter production team, Balearic Gabba Sound System, who flip ‘Buena Onda’ into a deep cut bit of sunset disco with glowing arps, elastic drums and sweeping string sounds in typically stylish fashion.

It’s all very romantic and sun kissed and that continues with Reverso 68 aka long time balearic stars Pete Herbert and Phil Mison.
Their take on Red Venus is one that slowly builds in stature, with plenty of lush pads, cute stabs and percolating drums that really lift you up.

Lastly, Hell Yeah regular Luminodisco gets a little more broken up and experimental with his dishevelled but soulful sounding version of My Velvet Book It’s slouchy like a hip hop record, but over all, like a modern take on Don Carlos.
