It's been seven long years since PERVERSOR released their classic debut album, Cult of Destruction, and four nearly-as-long years since their last EP, The Shadow of Abomination, which HELLS HEADBANGERS reissued on a wider scale not long after its initial release - but the Chilean maniacs are as restless 'n' wild as ever on their long-awaited second album, "Anticosmocrator"! Firmly committed to the hellish climes of South American black/death madness, here on "Anticosmocrator", PERVERSOR whip up a fury of filthiness and bestiality that could only come from the cult-metal cauldron of Chile. One track detonates after another, with the band seemingly locked into a state of violent possession, each scabrous riff and vocal vomit summoned from a sulfurous pit far beyond the purview of mankind. But through it all, PERVERSOR stay just as committed to the METAL aspect of their black/death madness, thrashing forth with a memorability rooted in the '80s ways. And the world trembles before the imminent doom of "Anticosmocrator"...

Ever aptly titled, Herzogian Darkness is a shadowy plunge into strange, shapeshifting depths. It is recognizably black metal by sound and vision - and, more or less, by name - but the febrile sensations these mysterious Poles emit elude safe 'n' staid categorization. Not for nothing do MEDICO PESTE here transform Bauhaus' classic "Stigmata Martyr" into one of their own, idiosyncratic creations.

MEDICO PESTE's history goes back to the winter of 2010, when they formed in Krakow, Poland. A demo followed the next year before their debut album, א: Tremendum et Fascinatio, in 2012. There, MEDICO PESTE portrayed a vision of black metal which incorporates dark and oppressive atmospheres, created through dysharmonic riffing, eerie vocals, and a taste for insanity and the macabre. And yet, the band's sound is always evolving, and while strongly rooted in traditional black metal, MEDICO PESTE inject elements of non-metal genres into their music, vividly painted across their brand-new Herzogian Darkness. Four songs in 27 minutes, these grim, crazed rituals are the newest face to a mask that is cracked but always spinning sinister thoughts, leering with the knowingness that the future's wide open yet infinitely bleak - that a Herzogian Darkness is on the horizon.

THE CULT 1992 RELEASE OF BLACK/VIKING METAL FROM THE GRAMMY-AWARD-WINNING NORWEGIAN PIONEERS, NOW ON PEACEVILLE.    

Enslaved was formed by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson in 1991, and are based in Bergen, Norway. Ivar and Grutle had previously played together in the death metal band, Phobia. Taking a different route to many of the extreme metal Norwegian bands of the early 90’s, Enslaved embraced their Viking history and culture, composing ferocious epics of extreme metal combined with hypnotic riffs and repetitious structures; Enslaved even becoming signed to Euronymous’ Deathlike Silence label early in their career.

  ‘Yggdrasill’ was the band’s second demo (following 1991’s feet-finding ‘Nema’), showing a young band with great passion and creativity. The songs were understandably raw and contained some traits of the Norwegian wave of black metal sweeping the region at the time, along with their own individual touch. Although more focused on Viking/Norwegian lore than anything satanic, Enslaved’s signature sound still captured the magic of the genre with long, hypnotic compositions losing the listener within their vast sonic landscapes.  

Over the years, the band has integrated strong elements of progressive music into their compositions and  Enslaved has gone on to worldwide notoriety for their stunning live shows and accomplished blend of atmospherics & sumptuous, powerful riffs, receiving numerous accolades along the way, including Norwegian Grammys.  

This edition of ‘Yggdrasill’ contains lyrics, as well as new liner notes written by the band.
