This is the track "Every Breaking Wave" from U2's album "Songs Of Innocence" performed by Hollywood U2 a U2 tribute band. Hollywood U2 were chosen to perform live on Mark Cuban's AXS.tv show "The World's Greatest Tribute Bands" hosted by Katie Daryl. The band re-creates the most iconic eras of U2s career from Joshua Tree 2017 to Zoo TV to The Elevation and Vertigo Tours, etc, with video and costume changes. Hollywood U2 Pays Homage to U2's over 40 year career and performs music from the Album "Boy" to "Songs of Experience".
In 2015 Bono invited Joe Hier (Lead Singer of Hollywood U2) to perform a duet of The Sweetest Thing with him and U2 live at The Forum in L.A. This performance made headlines around the world from Rolling Stone Magazine to The Wall Street Journal, which listed this performance as #2 in the TOP 10 MUST SEE PERFORMANCES OF U2's I.E. TOUR. I have never really been a big Whitesnake fan until early 2010 when my former bandmate Nick “Blaster” Hansen lent me the Whitesnake DVD “Live: In The Still Of The Night”. It opened up my eyes to how much of an awesome vocalist David Coverdale is, and how cool Whitesnake songs actually are. I quickly became obsessed with the live version of “Here I Go Again” from the DVD. It’s a lot heavier than the original 80’s album version, and I began singing it to myself all the time.

It didn’t take me long to decide to record my own version of the song, just for fun. I based my version on the live one I’d come to like so much. I kept it pretty similar to Whitesnake’s, but added my own little touches here and there, and changed the ending to my liking. I also made sure the keyboard sound was really huge.

The recording was done in bits and pieces, because unfortunately I hardly find the time to get into the studio. I eventually finished off the song in May 2010, and proudly stuck it on Facebook to show my friends.

2nd go at U2's Beautiful Day, using Pod HD500 for all FX, Tech 21 LIverpool for amps. Used the DTS SDD-3KP on the verse, OD and pitch shifted parts this time, a bit less drive plus a few changes to delay mod settings and mixes. This one is not 100% live - I made preset changes and recorded them - if I liked the sound in the mix, that part went in. The entire end from "See the..." and OD section is live though.
