Written by me in response to the terrorist attacks on Brussels on 22 March 2016. "Soulager" means to console or heal. It is written as healing balm for the people of Brussels. It was recorded by my friends at Sydney Conservatorium of Music on 19 December 2016.

This work was written for Ensemble Offspring in 2015. Claire Edwardes (percussion), Lamorna Nightingale (flute), Jason Noble (clarinet.)
It is based on bird motives that I have transcribed and entwined between the instruments, particularly the flute and clarinet which both have extended bird cadenza passages.
