Flowers In December - Mazzy Star

One of the most iconic bands of the 2000's, "Coldplay," has always been able to write emotional yet incredibly catchy full band records.  With over 8 million albums sold in the year it was released their album "X&Y" quickly became one of the most iconic releases in the band's history.  
     
McLoughlin's rendering of "Fix You," from that X&Y album provides an innovative face lift for the 2005 hit.  While maintaining the emotion and simplicity of the original throughout the vocal sections Collin takes the listener on a melodic journey, building the song steadily into a catchy glitch vocal driven drop.   With melodic bass swells and robotic one shots that supplement the simplicity of the verses in a unique way, McLoughlin "Fix You," remix is a refreshing take on a classic pop record.

It's about how she had stuck with me through all of my dark times, and how I would always be there for her no matter what comes. It's about commitment and embracing the next phase of our lives together, the good and the bad.
