Alongside co-founding One Records, Subb-an has been producing killer dancefloor groovers for years, releasing on some of the best club focused labels around. Releases on Eastenderz, Pleasure Zone, Fuse and Crosstown Rebels have made him a name synomous with deep and minimal grooves of all shapes and sizes. Recent collaborations with Thoma Bulwer on Constant Black and Seven Hills, as well as working with our shop's own Luther Vine for a release on his 2020 Vision sublabel Fragments of Reality, have been glued to our turntables since they dropped, so when a chance came to highlight his skills on the decks we were over the moon!
 
This mix opens with lush and deep tracks, slowly building in atmosphere and energy as the mix pulses and grows into a unique blend of Minimal Tech House with shades of proggy euphoria and throbbing basslines.

Recognizing his momentum and high-quality releases, Traxsource named Black Loops # 1 Deep House Artist of 2017. Black Loops influences stem from genres such as funk, soul, and disco, while his style is similar to the sound of the 90’s UK House movement and early 00's NY House. In regards to his discography, Black Loops has released 7 EP’s on the respected German House Record label @toytonics, and also released noteworthy EP’s on @neovinyl-recordings, @pets_recordings, @gruuv and @goodratiomusic. Paris wouldn’t be the same without Rex Club, and Rex Club wouldn’t be the same without Bass Culture. D’Julz’s monthly party has been the landmark club’s cornerstone night for the last two decades, with 2017 marking their 20-year anniversary in the French capital. D’Julz has curated the line-ups since the beginning, regularly bringing top-tier house and techno artists like Cassy, Seth Troxler and Ricardo Villalobos to play alongside him.

In 2009, D’Julz followed up on the party’s ongoing success by founding his own imprint, where tech house veterans like Mr. G sit alongside younger stars like Mr. Tophat & Art Alfie and Alex Picone. With Bass Culture’s Farringdon takeover just around the corner, D’Julz sent us over a mix weaving through an hour of classy deep house and tech house in anticipation.
