Megha Kawale has bravely spun the old Star-Trek phrase- Where no man has gone before- to 'Where no Woman has gone before!' The male bastion of DJs was rocked out into outer space the day this gorgeous girl made thousands literally dance to her tunes, by becoming India's first Female Disc Jockey.
Being a supermodel and listed in 'Femina India's 100 most beautiful women' she has broken all gender barriers to show that women can truly do it all and that beauty and brains are an unconquerable combination.

For over 11 years, Megha has spun the console with her throbbing tracks, beginning with the then- famous 1900s discotheque at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai to Club Cabana at the recent World Economic Forum at Davos in January 2010.

With her inimitable yet distinctive style of blending original house music with tribal strains and minimalist sound, she is equally sought-after for her energetic fusions of Bollywood music with commercial hip-hop. It is this kind of thumping energy that has thousands of revellers screaming for her music, from clubs like Mikanos and Trilogy to Avalon and F Bar. Her musical wizardry has captivated international hotspots like London, Spain, Basel, Dubai, Bangkok, Istanbul, Chicago, San Francisco, Bombay, Delhi, and Hongkong, to name a few.

In India, she is breathlessly followed at prestigious clubs like the Blue Frog, Ministry of Sound, F Bar, Elevate, Tantra, Athena, Olive, Prive and Ahala. From celebrity clients like the Ambanis to fantastic farmhouse parties to underground garages, forts, palaces, beaches and yachts, Megha has touched everyone, everywhere with her thrilling, edgy selections.

After winning the Miss Talented crown in Femina Miss India's 2001 contest, she segued into gracing the fashion ramps. She walks the ramp regularly for Lakme India Fashion Week, Wills India Fashion Week, the Couture Week, and MTV Fashion Awards.

Treading further into the sonic jungle, Megha released her début solo album 'Radioactive Blue & Green' in 2007- a stylish blend of Indian movie music with club beats. The video of the chartbuster track “Thoda Sa Thehro” featured four top Indian models and was the first of its kind in the Indian music industry.

Megha is busy travelling the globe for creative inspiration for her new album, which will create a palette of sounds using guitar, sitar and tabla all underscored by her trademark prog-rock style.
