London based DJ / producer Alan Dixon makes his Glitterbox debut with the gospel inspired dancefloor cut ‘Bless Me Today’. With previous releases on Midnight Riot and Marcel Vogel’s Lumberjacks In Hell, Alan’s soulful outputs have garnered him a few high profile fans including Gerd Janson and DJ Tennis, who both have played his records at recent gigs. The stunning gospel vocals bring a classic disco sound to this funk-laden track, and legendary German DJ Phonk D’s remix enhances this, maintaining the authenticity of the track’s sound whilst aligning it further to today’s dancefloors.

Darius Syrossian makes his DFTD debut with storming two-track delivery ‘Tivoli’s Groove’, after releasing acclaimed EP ‘Come On Come On’ on sister label Defected in 2019. An artist who lives and breathes dance music, Darius’ latest delivery showcases his unwavering devotion to producing quality dance cuts that defy genre constraints. Opening with ‘Tivoli’s Groove’, an irresistible 4/4 swing and undulating beat give the title track infinite club appeal. The bumping ‘Mustang 74’ follows, as a full throttle bassline, percussive stabs and warm synths work in total harmony. An artist whose roots lie firmly in the principles of house and techno, Darius’ musical philosophy shines through on this stellar delivery.

Mason teams up with Camelphat cohort Jem Cooke to deliver ‘Drowning In Your Love’ on Toolroom, backed by a remix from label boss Mark Knight.

‘Drowning In Your Love’ was born out of a writing session in London between the Dutchman and the songstress in which the two wrote three tracks in a day, with the creative chemistry resulting in this sophisticated house jam becoming the second single to be released from Mason’s brand-new album, ‘Frisky Biscuits’. Having loved the track so much himself, Toolroom head Mark Knight also joins the package as he gets his hands dirty on remix duties.

The duo’s original production centres around an infectious live funk riff imbued with Mason’s on-point production and a powerful vocal performance from Jem Cooke, whilst Knight’s interpretation sees the Toolroom boss unleash his inner mirror ball; adding rich strings, a classy percussion break and a stretched-out arrangement that would rock Studio 54 if only it could.
