After seeing tanks in the street in America, Eddie Sing, Eddie Sing, The Rez Leader in the ARG AMERICAN SPLIT, booked a one way flight to Ferguson, Missouri to document what was happening at this critical juncture in American History.  

Fox News was calling those upset marching about Michael Brown's death "rioters" and MSNBC was calling the people on the street "protestors."  In a country as currently divided on both race relations, and over the issue that has run through our nation from our Declaration of Independence, the issue of who is in control of our nation:  the federal government or the states.  Local control versus national control.  The very thing that led us to leave our mother country due to the fact that a King from afar was controlling our destiny and the same very thing that caused our founding fathers to bloodlessly overthrow the Articles of Confederation which gave all of the control of our government to the states, and create our current Constitution which gave the ultimate control of everything listed in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to the Federal Government and with the passage of the 10th amendment reserving all powers not mentioned in the Constitution to thereby be reserved to the people and the states.

After remaining in contact with Kyland Steward, one of the two Ferguson residents that Eddie stood with, right amongst the riot police as the protestors approached in the dark of the night violated a state imposed curfew in their home town.  It seemed as if anything might happen as the police fired tear gas into the crowd.  For one brief, moment Eddie thought that the very humanity that he fights for against the Raybot Spiders in www.skabedinfremtid.com was going to be lost and, potentially, this could be the moment where the second Civil War in America began, a war that would bring those opposing the federal government led by our first black and white president, into armed resistance and those who felt disempowered and without the rights guaranteed in our Constitution and Bill of Rights might just begin a violent expression of the rights they have lost.

Ferguson was the first incident that showcased the racial divide in the United States and it led to more incidents of questionable police bias and unrest ensued in Staten Island, in New York City and, later in Baltimore.


As all historians know, the best way to learn about an event is through primary sources and those who rely on secondary sources will necessarily lay victim to bias.

The challenge is to ‘Commit’ to something more than we have now, something better, and something that most would say is impossible, but our Rez leader would say is hope latently waiting for you to ignite.  Commit to this.  Opening up your heart to those you don't know, listening to those you disagree with with arms wide open and verifying your trust and then, verifying it again, but, at the end of the day, making sure that we all work for peace for all.
