Founder of esteemed Amsterdam born label PIV, Dutch producer and selector Prunk delivers his anticipated Defected debut 'Keep It Simple' featuring Rona Ray. Following the release of his acclaimed 2023 album 'Le Funk', a record that showcased his in-depth, genre-spanning knowledge of house music, this aptly timed single on Defected follows a number of international DJ appearances for the London label brand. Larse's hit 'A Part Of' made waves in 2022 following its exclusive vinyl release, and the track received significant play throughout the summer. Now Riva takes the bold orchestral features of the original and flings them around the stratosphere, warping them playfully to create an otherworldly, retro sound before a thick bass smashes us back down to earth. The ‘Toolroom Live’ albums are opportunities for us to highlight our key artists, present new tracks, and give you a taste of the live experience. ‘Toolroom Live 01’ takes you from underground House music right through to main room Techno, emphasising the vast musical spectrum we are privileged to occupy and shining a spotlight on the three core artists who will be leading our label into the next ten years.

No longer an obscure name, Weiss hit the charts with ‘My Sister’ being played by everyone from Loco Dice to Groove Armada. As with this track, his mix on ‘Toolroom Live 01’ is created by and for the lover of real House music, referencing the past and looking to the future. Featuring tracks by the likes of MK, Hot Since 82, Harry Romero, Bontan, Tube & Berger and Doorly, alongside a brand new exclusive from Weiss himself, ‘I Believe’, this is a mix that’s all about craftsmanship; it’s about the emotions that the tracks evoke; it’s about a great passion for House music. 

At the other end of the spectrum, Adrian Hour is no stranger to this ethos. Well regarded by the likes of Carl Cox and the Suara team for his jaw dropping productions, he infuses his tracks and Toolroom Live mix with an indescribable quality. Adrian Hour deftly weaves his way through the many shades of techno, incorporating new tracks from Pirupa, Erik Hagleton and Coyu & Ramiro Lopez, as well as huge exclusives from himself, D-Unity, Montenegro and more.

Finally, Mark Knight ties the album together with his ability to make memorable main room House music and his talent for creating moments that are reminisced about for months, even years, after the event – and this is the focus of his Toolroom Live mix:

Patrick Topping returns to Hot Creations with his 'Taking Libz EP' and demonstrates why his reputation carries such weight with three special tracks that act as a master-class in how to create music that will consume dance floors.

First up is 'Brayed' which takes the listener on a loopy and enriching journey, whilst 'Howk' is a classic foot-to-the-floor number. Concluding the EP is 'Taking Libz', the title track that sees Topping firmly hold onto his crown with this unstoppable cut.

i-D Magazine described Patrick’s style "that is characterized by punchy, chugging baselines that have become weapons in the sets of many a DJ." Started his career DJing at the club night Motion in Newcastle, he was quickly snapped up by Jamie Jones, for Hot Creations. Releases on the label and a residency at Paradise DC10 in Ibiza soon followed and 2014 saw him release ‘Get Beasty’, ‘Forget’ and ‘Voicemail’ featuring Green Velvet and concluded with a hattrick of awards including winning the DJ Mag Best Newcomer, Track Of The Season and Best Tune awards in their Best of British Awards.
